Особо остро следует реагировать внешнеполитическим ведомствам, добиться ареста бешеных волчат. В тюрьме у них будет достаточно времени пожевать ёнджи и придти в чувство.

По сути, ничего не сменилось. Как только турчата собираются в толпу, то храбрее них никого нет. А в отдельности, они смирные и послушные баранчики. Толпа в турецком сознании рулезз.

Для тех, кто не владеет английским: в двух словах, в Брюселе (Бельгия) 21 Октября в 9 вечера турецкие ультранационалисты собрались помитинговать. К 22:00 они попрыгали перед американским посольством, сорвали флаг и сожгли флаг Посольства. Около 1:00 ночи, 20 взбесившихся баранчиков ворвались в одно армянское кафе называемый «Café Jardin de Babylone», было совершено нападение на владельца, разнесли все кафе, а бельгийский журналист турецкого (sic!) происхождения был избит за фотографирование бешенной толпы. Полиция арестовала одного баранчика.

The Nazi times are back in Europe, yet this time they are imported from Turkey destroying an Armenian Café in the capital of Europe. Europe simply has to act! It has to take responsibility directly! It is not merely the destruction of a café in Brussels yet a clear aggressive offence towards European values. The Europe of today which was born from the carnage of total destruction is today challenged once again by similar ideological forces, which caused the destruction of the entire Continent during World War II. These forces are those of the ultra nationalist Turks who have gone a step further by striking three capitals at once. The Capital of Belgium, the Capital of the European Union, and the Capital of NATO. Yet above all they hit the very basics of European values and dignity. Destroying the café of an ethnic Armenian, simply because he is an Armenian reminds us of the times when Nazi gangs used to destroy Jewish shops and property in the 1930s.

On the night of the 21st -22nd of October at around 9:00 p.m. several Turkish ultra-nationals, mostly belonging to the Gray Wolves gathered at the Saint-Josse district in Brussels. The local police reported that at that stage they did not intervene yet called for reinforcement.

Later, at around 22:00 about one hundred people gathered in front of the American embassy in Brussels bringing down and burning the US flag that was hanging at the front of the embassy.

At around 1:00 a.m. in the morning a group of nearly two hundred members of the Gray Wolves movement attacked and destroyed Café Jardin de Babylone which was owned by an ethnic Armenian in the neighbourhood of Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode.

As the Café was attacked by the Gang about 20 people were in it. The owner of the café Bedig Bedrosian, tried to protect himself hitting some of the invaders who had broken the door with a chare. The gang then destroyed and ransacked the entire interior of café as a Belgian journalist of Turkish origin was severely beaten by the extremists for filming the scene. As the police reached out, one of them was injured by the aggressors

The Armenian Times calls upon every citizen of Europe to adopt a policy of such force and magnitude as to express its determination to democratic principles, basic human rights for ethnic minorities and for the protection of their culture and their property. It must become a top priority of all European leaders to pursue a policy of grave consequences to all and any who seek to strike out at anyone purely on the basis of race, colour, creed, sexuality or belief. These rights must be considered as the fundamental basis upon which peaceful and democratic society must be based. Any action, which falls short of this can only be considered as appeasing an aggressive social virus and that such a lack of action will only allow this virus to spread amongst other cultures and peoples and groupings.

The Armenian Times further calls upon all Armenians within Europe to stand vigilant and in unity against any such aggression from Fascist right wing groups and to show the power of our determination to live our lives as a peaceful and law abiding ethnic minority who seek only to uphold the principles of the society in which we live.

If ever there was an example of the true nature of Turkey then the leaders of Europe need look no further. They must consider these actions when deciding upon whether to allow Turkey to join the Union and what criteria they must fulfil. The Armenian Times makes this statement with great dismay for there do exist among Turks a great number who wish to befriend their neighbours and live with them in harmony, however the opinions of these people are equally suppressed. We can see the threats of Turkey in its concerns over the adoption of the resolution going through The House of Representatives. Will Europe once again welcome an aggressor into its arms as it did so in 1933? Will the leaders of Europe pursue a policy of appeasement rather than justice and risk destroying the fundamental peace it has worked tirelessly to build over the last 50 years? How much more destruction must we see first? How many other Hrant Dinks must be killed before we wake up?

The Armenian Times is not an alarmist publication, nor is it racist or in any way sensationalist, yet we state clearly that these issues must be considered and they must be done so quickly. For the sake of Europe and of Justice!

Турки вновь напали на армянское кафе в Брюсселе

Турки вновь напали на армянское кафе "Вавилонский сад" в Брюсселе. Избежать разрушений и армяно-турецкого столкновения удалось избежать только благодаря вмешательству правоохранителей. Территорию близ кафе охраняют полицейские, а власти города запретили проведение митингов в данном районе. Напомним, что кафе, принадлежавшее Петросу Петросяну в первый раз было подвергнуто нападению в ночь на 22 октября. Кафе стало мишенью митингующих турок, которые выражали свой протест в связи с убийством турецких военнослужащих курдами в районе неподалеку от посольства США.
