В США в возрасте 74 лет скончался известный киноактер Деннис Хоппер. По сообщениям СМИ, Хоппер умер у себя дома в городе Винис (штат Калифорния) от осложнений, вызванных диагностированным у него в прошлом году раком предстательной железы.

В январе этого года Хоппер объявил о том, что безнадежно болен и вскоре умрет, после того, как стало ясно, что раковая опухоль метастазировала в костные ткани.

Зрителям Хоппер лучше всего известен по ролям в таких культовых фильмах, как "Беспечный ездок" (1969), где он выступил и в качестве режиссера, "Бунтарь без идеала" (1955) и "Гигант" (1956).
