I was surprised to find out that the respectable "TIME" magazine has issued in its June 6, 2005 edition, a special DVD mostly dedicated to the denial of the Armenian Genocide. This DVD is a textbook example of falsification.

Needless to say, that this “gift” is appalling and insults the very essence of Morality and Truth.

This is an even more inexcusable action done by TIME magazine, considering that media usually strive for truth!

I was shocked to find out that this particular magazine would be involved in such an evil deed aiming at distorting historical facts while embarking in the Turkish propagandist machine without checking and re-checking the material it intends to publish alongside its pages.

Turkey has planned and executed the Genocide of Armenians in 1915, a genocide which cost the life of more than 1.5 million Armenians, men, women, elders and children!

It is therefore surprising and startling to see that TIME would embrace Turkey’s policy based on denial and defamation whereas many countries, international organizations and most genocide scholars have recognized the Armenian Genocide and call on Turkey for reparation and compensation for the losses of the Armenians: moral, human, material and territorial!

In addition to recognitions bills, some countries are going a step further by currently elaborating laws that would sanction all forms of denial…

I therefore ask the administration of TIME magazine to correct immediately this mistake and to keep on its initial task that is pursuing truth, whatever that may be, far from all political considerations or material gains.

Вместо того чтобы ответить журналисту, надо действовать аналогично, а именно создать свою версию всего этого и распространить по всему миру - БЕСПЛАТНО!!! 

Молодцы турки - хорошый шаг. Они представили свою версию правды.

Dear publishers and editor of Time,

Time wrote in 1960 that Talaat “introduced genocide

to the 20th century by ordering the massacre of

500,000 Armenians” but the same magazine now

introduces unique way of genocide denial to the 21st

century by distributing about 500, 000 anti-Armenian

DVDs in Europe.

Turkish press reported on June 1, 2005 that Time has

distributed 494, 000 free copies of “Turkish

documentary about Turkish-Armenian relations.”

Turkish government has been denying the Armenian

genocide for several decades, despite the fact that

hundreds of Turkish scholars admit the crime and

despite the fact that the coiner of the term genocide

Raphael Lemkin cited the Armenian killings as an

example of genocide in his writings. The Genocide

happened between 1915 and 1923 as a result of which

the entire Armenian population of what is now eastern

Turkey [Western Armenia] was wiped off and thousands

of Christian monuments were destroyed and desecrated.

The sinister and devastating deal between Turkish

deniers and Time is not solely anti-Armenian

propaganda, but also shameful denial of the first

genocide of the past century the 90th Anniversary of

which is commemorated this year.

Back on June 06, 1960 Time published a report about

the death of the Armenian nemesis Saro Melikian (born

Soghomon Tehlirian) who killed Turkey’s Interior

Minister Talaat Pasha in 1921. Time reported that

Talaat “introduced genocide to the 20th century by

ordering the massacre of 500,000 Armenians.”

Apparently, the deal between the deniers and Time is

lucrative for the latter. However, ethics and morality

should have prevented Time in cooperating with those

infamous propagandists.

Time is not only guilty in supporting anti-Armenian

propaganda, but has also unwillingly denied what US

President Theodore Roosevelt has called “the

greatest crime of the war.”

Time should not only apologize to its readers and to

the rest of the world for this infamous deal, but it

should also publish a cover-page article about the

Armenian genocide and officially announce that it has

not intended to deny the Armenian genocide.

Otherwise, Time will not only lose its good

reputation, but millions of Armenians and

non-Armenians, libraries and other institutions of

Europe and America should be asked to boycott the

magazine.

Genocide denial cannot be paid off. Genocide denial

and its support whisper that we never learned anything

from our history and that Hitler’s “Who, after

all, remembers of the annihilation of the

Armenians?” rhetorical question still makes us

ponder.

Money is important, but morality, ethics and truth

should not be on sale. History should not be on sale.

Justice should not be on sale. “Injustice anywhere

is threat to justice everywhere” – you know who

said that and you know that that great leader was more

than right.

Не на том акцент. Не на спаме, а на : Вместо того чтобы ответить журналисту, надо действовать аналогично, а именно создать свою версию всего этого и распространить.

На етот вопрос надо смотреть глобольно. Те у нас должен быть механизме борьбы против етого. Суд ето только чать мечанизма на на основе которго можно начать контратаку. Мы все прекрасно знаем что такого рода информацию везде есть и если ети информации атакуемы с точки зрения правосудия то надо их аттакавать. Мы должны иметь систему охотников каторые должна охотиться за такой информацией и которые будет самоокупаемой. Иначе говоря ети охотники должны жить "охотой". И ни надо сваливать ето на мид ето должно организавать вся армянство.

то что мы обсуждем сдесь ето лиш один факт всеобшего явления надо создавать сыстему борьбы против етого всеобшего явления.
