Actress Britney Murphy first stole out hearts with her role as Tai in the movie “Clueless”, so it was very shocking to hear that she had passed in her own home on December 20, 2009. There was a lot of speculation as to her cause of death with some reports saying that she died of an overdose, and other’s were

claiming that her death was to due complications with an eating disorder. Throughout all of the claims that there was some type of foul play involved in her death, her husband, Simon Monjack insisted that this was absolutely not the case. When the coroner finally released his report, it showed that Simon had been right all

along. Britney Murphy’s official cause of death was pneumonia with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. This report seemed to put a lot of the speculation surrounding around her death to rest, but no one could have foreseen that her death would again turn into a topic of

conversation.In the months and weeks surrounding Britney’s death, her husband seemed to defend his wife’s name at every chance he got. What was also revealed, on more of a subliminal level, was the without his wife, he was lost, and it was very apparent that he was suffering from a broken heart.

So, in a way it came as no surprise that he was found dead in the same home that Britney Murphy died in roughly five months earlier. Did he commit suicide to be with his love on the other side? The similarities between the two deaths understandably could lead one to come to that conclusion. Both Britney and Simon were

found in the master bedroom unconscious by Britney’s mother. When paramedics arrived, CPR was performed on both, with no result, prior to Simon’s official coroner’s report; he was thought to die of cardiac arrest just as Britney did.

The real shocker in this case was that when Simon’s coroner’s report was made public, his death was in fact the same as Britney’s. He died from acute pneumonia and sever anemia. Due to the fact that the deaths are so similar to each other and happened in identical circumstances, this caused the Department of Public

Health to launch an investigation. When Britney died, there was speculation that her death may have been brought on because of mold in the house, but, that theory was never investigated.

Now that Simon is dead, the Health Department is going to investigate the home to ensure that no one else dies from the potential mold factor.
