FIELD ACCOUNTANT- AREGAK

AREGAK is the micro credit program of UMCOR Armenia which operates since 1998 in nine marzes of Armenia and throughout Nagorno Karabakh.

UMCOR Armenia is seeking for a Field Accountant for the Aregak Field Office in Echmiadzin. The Field Accountant reports to the Finance Comptroller.

Main Responsibilities include

? Petty cash handling

? Bank transfers, withdrawals, banks reconciliation

? Recording daily transactions in internally developed software

? Reporting to Head office in Yerevan on monthly basis

? Maintaining records of annual vacation, sick and personal leave days of field staff and reporting to HO

? Calculation of Income Taxes on field expenses and reporting to HO

? Other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

? University degree in Finance , Economics or Accounting

? Experience in handling of huge quantity of petty cash

? Good computer skills (Word and Excel).

? Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

? Knowledge of English is a plus

USAID Commercial Law and Economic Regulation Program (CLERP)

BearingPoint is looking for two full-time translators for a long-term project.

Translator – Telecommunications/Regulatory/IT

A translator/interpreter for translation and interpretation to/from English, Russian, and Armenian.

Qualified candidates will have/will need to have:

ь Extensive experience translating technical, IT/Telecommunications related, International Telecommunication Union (ITU), World Trade Organization (WTO) and/or trade, legal, business, and technical documents;

ь The ability to interpret at meetings and seminars (but not limited to) where technical and international telecommunications/technical terms will be used;

ь Prepare materials for conferences/meetings (e.g., hand-outs, power-point presentations, and lecture notes);

ь Proofread and edit materials translated by self and others;

ь Log and file documents in an organized manner (electronically and hard-copy);

ь Work well under pressure and under tight deadlines;

ь Coordinate with lead translator and other staff as appropriate; and

ь Other duties as appropriate and as directed by the Regulatory/Telecommunications advisor.

Required qualifications:

ь University degree in “languages”;

ь A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience;

ь Strong knowledge of and versatility with economic/legal/telecommunications/IT and technical terminology;

ь Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, other applications;

ь A strong work ethic and the ability to function in a pressured work environment;

ь Excellent communication skills; and

ь The ability to work on a team.

Translator – Commercial Law/Legal Translation

A translator/interpreter for translation and interpretation to/from English, Russian, and Armenian.

Qualified candidates will have/will need to have:

ь Extensive experience translating legal, regulatory, and contractual documents;

ь The ability to interpret at meetings and seminars (but not limited to) where technical and international telecommunications/trade terms will be used;

ь Prepare materials for conferences/meetings (e.g., handouts, power-point presentations, and lecture notes);

ь Proofread and edit materials translated by self and others;

ь Log and file documents in an organized manner (electronically and hard-copy);

ь Work well under pressure and under tight deadlines;

Senior Programme Assistant - OSCE

The OSCE Office in Yerevan invites applications from highly qualified, energetic and experienced Armenian professionals for the post of Senior Programme Assistant (Human Rights Issues).

Under supervision of the Human Rights Officer (Programme Manager) the incumbent will perform the following tasks:

Analytical and Reporting:

1. Performs research and summarizes background information in the field of Human Rights;

2. Provides legal and political review of developments in the areas of relevance to Human Rights, including informal review of legislation and submits findings to the supervisor (e.g. alternative military service law);

3. Drafts project proposals and assists in monitoring project implementation;

4. Provides advice on initiatives of the Office in the field of Human Rights;

5. Drafts contributions to activity and background reports;

6. Attends relevant meetings, relevant thematic working groups, roundtables, workshops, conferences and other events; prepares relevant records on the events attended (including memos for the file and minutes of the meetings where the Office is the organizing party);

Organizational:

7. Establishes, maintains and develops contacts with the local authorities, universities, research institutions and non-governmental organisations, as well as with the government at mid-level (deputy heads of departments, heads of sections);

8. Assists in cooperating with international organizations and institutions;

9. Liaises with and attends the meetings of the Human Dimension Working Group meetings, Ombudsman Working Group meetings, civil society monitoring group for penitentiary institutions;

10. Organises data and information, liaises with implementing partners, prepares and maintains records, documents, and control plans for the monitoring of project/program implementation;

11. Provides programmatic support to Programme Manager in organizing Programme activities;

12. Acts as alternate Programme Manager in the absence of Programme Manager;

13. Performs other relevant work as required.

Qualifications:

ћ Completion of secondary education supplemented by courses in law, political or social sciences

ћ Minimum 6 years relevant working experience

ћ Analytical skills (ability to produce background reports, conduct independent research), communication skills (establish and maintain contact with project partners, NGOs, governmental officials), organisational skills

ћ Knowledge of international Human Rights law and standards, the legal system in the Republic of Armenia, and the political situation,

ћ Excellent knowledge of Armenian, English and Russian (both written and oral)

ћ Team work ability, flexibility and ability to work under pressure and with limited time frames

ћ Ability to operate Windows-based applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail and Internet, willingness and ability to operate E-procurement.

Local Trainer/Capacity Building Expert - Societe Francaise d'Ingenierie

Soci?t? Fran?aise d’Ing?nierie is seeking a Long-term Local Trainer/ Local Capacity Building Expert for international development assignment in Armenia. Project duration is 24 months.

Applications are invited from immediately available candidates who meet the following requirements:

Qualification and skills

University degree in economy or law. A postgraduate degree in pedagogy would be an asset. The Applicant should have excellent communication, presentation and training skills and should demonstrate proven experience in teaching, training and capacity building. Computer literacy (minimum: Word processing, spreadsheet).

Fluency in oral and written English, Armenian and Russian is required. A working knowledge of another European language would be an asset.

General professional experience

Applicant should have not less than 7 years of experience in law and/or economy and/or high-level training and capacity building, including a far-reaching understanding of political and social aspects of legislative reform and regional integration processes with national or EU authorities at lower and higher – ministerial – level or equivalent as well with civil society actors.

Proven experience in training and capacity building projects, including seminar and workshops delivery, holding of conferences and all other kinds of training methodologies. Relevant work experience in a related field in a NIS and/or Armenia would be a strong asset.

Involvement in the accession process of one of the 10 EU new countries would be a decisive asset.

Specific professional experience

Applicant should have at least 5 years extensive international experience from both short- and longer-term assignments as teacher, trainer, capacity building expert in externally assisted capacity building projects in developing and/or transition countries (preferably CIS region).

Experience from working in EU new member states or pre-accession countries on EU integration.

Experience in using international development system, familiarity with the programming and decision-making processes of the EU support programmes and/or other international donor agencies.

офф, сорри!

Одного я понять не могу, ладно еще мы считаем совершенно нормальным не переводить с английского объявления о вакансиях, где хотя бы требование знания языка высокие итп, ладно у нас даж в гос. газетах сейчас объявления на английском, но зачем же тупо продолжать писать только на аглицком текст предназначенный будущему электрику с rudimentary knowledge of English?!..

(Американ Авеню??? вау..! ну-ну.)

      Ранее, 22 июня, попытка избрать патриарха провалилась, поскольку ни один из кандидатов не смог набрать две трети голосов, а это одно из требований, избирательного синодального устава восточных церквей.

       
      Отмечается, что новый патриарх заменит Григора Петроса, который скончался в мае 2021 года. С этой целью в Рим приглашены епископы Армянской Католической церкви, служащие в епархиях различных городов мира.
       
      Епископы соберутся в Лионской духовной семинарии в Риме. Выборы начнутся под руководством кардинала Леонардо Сантри 22 сентября.
